D of E Bronze students complete Bronze award
On the 13th and 14th of June the boys (Ollie Todd, Richard Wingfield, Tom Field and Liam Brown) doing their bronze Duke of Edinburgh award completed their assessed walk successfully!
The walk took place over two days – on the first they had to walk 7 miles and on the second 12 miles.
The girls (Rachel Dodsworth, Chandre Roman, Phoebe Nickalls, Molly Vandervell, Joanne Johnson, Lauren Brown and Olivia Wright) will be doing their assessed bronze walk this weekend because they are an expedition behind the boys.
On Day one the boys finished 45 minutes late but the girls crawled into camp 4 hours late. (Even though they did have a lift into the camp after a 9 hour walk – the girls also walked 7 miles)
According to the girls:
On Day two the girls beat the boys and were at home long before the boys were back at base. The boys appear to be sore losers and possess a need a fabricate information on this blog.
According to the boys:
On Day two, due to the girls having a 4km head start and a shorter route, they got to the final point before the boys did.
